PHYSIO MAT COURSES
Our courses take a biopsychosocial approach to the individual,
which encompasses an individual’s health and the quality of their social relationships, viewing health not merely as the absence of illness or infirmity, but as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being.
Our courses are designed to improve flexibility and muscle strength by combining deep breathing, movement, stretching and muscle strengthening, without placing strain on joints and ligaments.
Following an individual functional assessment, participants undertake a programme of small-group sessions (maximum 6 people) led by qualified physiotherapists.

KEY FEATURES OF THE EXERCISES

• Gentle: the movements are slow, fluid and controlled, allowing you to engage with your own body and sense how its dynamic and static aspects change, depending on your mobility and muscle tone.

• using one’s own body weight or small pieces of equipment: the distribution of effort must be limited to one’s own weight, because it is with this that we move, interact and live our lives, every day.

• They stimulate the whole body: they take into account the uniqueness of the person as an individual who interacts with themselves and with the world.

• designed with people’s motor skills in mind: taking into account their limitations and any physical difficulties they may have.

GUIDELINES FOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

• Please arrive already dressed appropriately for the activity

• You may only participate if you are wearing the designated footwear or your own non-slip socks

• All clothing and personal belongings must be stored inside your bag

• The equipment used by each individual is disinfected after use
